Open letter to hospital and child protection services

I have sent numerous emails to Brianne Lande with MCFD and Ivan Chau, Social Worker at

Sunny Hill Health Centre regarding my suspended visits due to arbitary reasons. I have not gotten any responses.

Here is an open letter to them as I know they monitor my online posts.

We have been very dissatisfied with the communication with MCFD, doctors and the medical team at Sunnyhill. We have requested numerous times for medical reports and meetings to understand the course of care around our son and what is working and what is not. We have not had any meetings with doctors for over 3 months and there is a huge disconnect between our family and the religious values we hold dearly. Over 3 months have passed and we have been ignored. We do not want to have our son held hostage and given PEG which can cause kidney and liver damage. We are planning a class action lawsuit due to the way we are discriminated against and our human rights violated. We have found several families who are willing to speak out against BCCH and MCFD due to unprofessional and unethical conduct.

MCFD is only supposed to make critical medical decisions for my son and not overstep and approve every request the doctors make and ignore the parent's request regarding vaccinations, GJ-tube feeds and medications. With a temporary custody in order due to false allegations, it is a travesty how much suffering and mental and emotional anguish you have brought upon my family.

Please respect our requests as we love our son dearly and want the best care so he can thrive and not be made artificially complex. We want to work with and collaborate with MCFD and BCCH and hope this 2nd option will help us with advocacy to remove the stigma and discrimination against us.
