Horror story update at BC Children's Hospital

We hope and pray the medical staff at BC Children's will remove the involvement of MCFD and allow my wife Riina, his 3 sisters and I the rights we should have. It is because of our marriage and DNA that Theo is born. For them to usurp their powers over us has caused so much harm to our often happy and bubbly baby boy.

My mother went to see him the day before, July 22nd and saw him sitting up and watching cartoons. The nurse had put it on for him even though Riina told them no screen time but only classical or nature music and reading of books. We are quite frustrated as some of the nurses keep on giving him Tylenol whenever he is cranky.

August 9, He is very pale and lethargic and a much different child now after they forced the vaccinations on him, 2 in the arm, 3 in the legs because the direction of the MCFD director is to put him into foster care and remove him from my family.

When I put him down to change his diaper he started crying. At the end of my 1.5-hour supervised visit, I put him down again and he starts cried again. This did not happen before...

I know I'm not allowed to take photos or post on social media the abuses we are facing but if I don't speak out.... how will we know what really happens? And how will there be positive change unless people in positions of power will be held accountable?

On August 10, a doctor with courage, sound reasoning skills, common sense and empathy for us, ate lunch and had a chat regarding our situation. He said he will go and talk to the pediatrician. He said what we are asking for : to lower pressures for his tracheostomy vent and see how much he can tolerate off his vent is the protocol to get a child out of the hospital and it is very strange the medical team is not allowing it. Also, the request for allowing the stomach to rest between feeds is the right thing to do as it will prevent vomiting. He met with the pediatrician and was surprised how she kept passing on decision-making and responsibility to the dietician, MCFD and respirologist..... but he said to her that it is her responsibility as a pediatrician to practice the best care and have the interests of the patient and family... What do lawyers and MCFD know about the best care for a baby... They shouldn’t even be in the picture. He saw how much Theo was sweating and said it could be a sign the heart is overworking because of the excessive feeding protocal.

August 11, Friday, During my wife’s visit, the Respirologist calls her and wants to work with us.  She will talk to the team and see if any changes can be done to Theo the following week.  What a break through!

Could it be, what our advocate doctor had said the previous day, has made them have a change of heart?

August 14, Monday, Doctors have decided no changes to be made for his feeds and Vent pressures. Instead they want to do an MRI to explore his spine and spleen.  I am behooved and stumped…

August 15,  I woke up early and got an epiphany from God!    I understand now!!!

The reason the medical team is doing this is to make Theo a complex care child!

Back in Feruary, I told the respirologist, Dr. Mark Chilvers that I just love being on the motorbike! Especially in Malaysia because of how free I am to weave in and out of traffic and the thrill of the ride. It would be unfathomable for me to sign any constraining contract that would limit me to not allow any adjustment of pressures on my son’s trachea ventilator and have my son hooked up to a machine as long as they please. He was the one who said 2 choices we have on the table. Either get a tracheostomy done or withdraw care.

Why they don't want to lower pressures and feed rates? To do the right and ethical protocols to get my son discharged?

They are orchestrating a perfect storm! Do they like being bullies? to have their way or the highway? IS there a powerful puppet master that coercies them to do evil but get a reward?

What a Ploy, to make Theo seem like a complex child that needs severe medical attention. If he is well and can be discharged it unravels everything!

There would be no reason to waste tax payers money, line their pockets and recruit cooked lawyers to go to court or to remove him from my family and put him into foster care!!!! 

If they would follow our logical requests to lower his pressures and his over excessive feeds via GJ-tube, Theo would get well and be discharged and returned back to us. 

It will take humility for them to swallow their pride...
I have chosen to live a truthful life and defend our God-given rights; rather than ruin people and physically abuse and torture babies.

Should I call them out on their evil ploy or just play dumb and try to get my son back asap…  I pray and ask God for Courage.   Since Theo was born April 14, 2022, he has always been in the hospital and it has been a long journey for my family.  We want to go home…

August 16, 2023, I took this photo below on Wednesday with my son and my 2 girls and was told right after I took the picture by the supervisor from MCFD that she would end my once a week, 1.5hr visit if I used my phone again to take one more photos. I told her i wanted to capture memorable photos but she said I had signed the agreement and those are the rules imposed on me.

Aug 17, 2023, My Birthday! I have been 38 years in this world and have had a journey with joys and terrors... So many beautiful and also painful memories. My greatest desire now is for my innocent son to have the protection and the love he needs and do the best I can so no family will have to suffer what we have been put through.   

My wife tells me after she got back to RMH that during the morning rounds, the doctors at BC Children's  Hospital want to start a new drug for our son baby Theo Lim due to his excess bile secretions due to the overfeeding, lack of rest for stomach between feeds and the unnecessary g-j tube procedure.  I started looking into this drug and am shocked at what I found.  I print out some information and run to the hospital and give my letter and a speech letting them know I do not consent to using this drug on my son and that they are very disrespectful if they push this new drug on him.  Nurse tells me Theo is under MCFD custody and I have no say in his medical treatment. 

What is domperidone used for in infants?
Domperidone helps to keep the entrance to the stomach properly closed, so that the stomach contents do not leak back up into the food pipe (oesophagus). Therefore, your child may be less likely to be sick (vomit) or have reflux after a meal or feed.

Can domperidone be given to infants for vomiting?
Domperidone is no longer licensed for use in children younger than 12 years or those weighing less than 35 kg. Results from a placebo-controlled study in children younger than 12 years with acute gastroenteritis did not show any difference in efficacy at relieving nausea and vomiting compared with placebo. On August 17, 2:16pm, I get a call from Jennifer my MCFD social worker.  She tells me my visits are suspended because I went to the 7^th floor and tried talking to the medical team.  I said I never went into my son’s room. She says that does not matter.  She also said my wife’s visits are also suspended because she brought a visitor who is a doctor into Theo’s room, one week prior on August 10th.

 In the evening after we return from my b-day dinner, my wife Riina goes to see our baby and after a few minutes with him in his room, was told she cannot see him and will have to leave and that she needs to talk to MCFD in order to gain access again. What a birthday…

August 18, my wife calls the hospital and she is not allowed to get an update from Theo’s bedside nurse. Later that evening, Jenlii, my oldest daughter and a retired senior doctor go to go see him but he was moved and they are not allowed to see him. 

Jenlii cried so much and the charge nurse called Paladin security.  They were both asked to leave. 

My wife, Riina Lim cannot even give her pumped breast milk. MCFD wants to meet us Monday they have no concern for the well being of our baby.

Does MCFD blindly swallow hook, line and sinker everything reported to them? And if they are challenged have to much pride and ego to admit they are wrong?

Are they enabling drug pushers to force their vaccines and medications with adverse side effects?

Are they motivated by profits rather than be ethical?

Would they prefer to destroy the constitution or interrupt the development of a child and run with a false narrative to keep him dependant for the rest of his life?

Theo has an overworked heart due to their forced excessive feeding schdule and an unnecessary gj-tube procedure. He also has a double outlet left ventricle which makes his heart less effective.

Theo's fused skull needed to be operated at 1 year of age. He is 4 months overdue and with delay there is neurosurgical concern he has increased pressures. 

Is it possible the increased pressures in the brain prevent the pituitary gland to release growth hormones?   Could the medical team be negligent for not checking low growth hormone due to brain damage from delayed neurosurgery AS THE CAUSE OF LACK OF WEIGHT GAIN? 

The Reason we are told from the medical team that his pressures cannot be dropped is that his lungs are working too hard and this is the cause of the lack of weight gain. They are not willing to lower his feeds but keep increasing his feeds.  He is constantly vomiting and gaging and yet the whole medical team has confederated to say this is the best for Theo.

I know they are lying to me. He breathed on his own for 30 minutes Febuary 15th before he was trached. Even after the trache, i have seen him breath just fine when the vent pops off. he doesn’t struggle to breathe, the machine starts beeping and the nurse runs in and says, “we need to keep this on”. Before his GJ tube, I told them to let his stomach rest between feeds. All the doctors said that the 3.5hr feeds with 30 mins break is the best route to go and they will not let his stomach rest for more than 30 mins. I know when I don’t allow my stomach to rest after a meal and take more food in, I will gag and want to throw up.

August 20, 2023, Sunday night, 8pm. 

Charge nurse Julia comes with 2 security guards and tell me I am not allowed to be on the 7^th floor.  I told her I have breast milk from my wife to give to Theo.  Nurse tells me she can not give anything to my son unless MCFD approves it.  I ask if my 3 girls can go see their brother.  Answer is NO.

I asked if the drug Domperidone has been started on my son.  She says she is not allowed to tell me and to go contact my social worker @ MCFD

I see a sticker - “Every Child Matters”   I think of the irony and hypocrisy of our situation with these so called, confederated medical professionals. - Maranatha
